DC wanted to fire Snyder after Batman v Superman

The Wrap  says that several Warner Bros. executives went to former President Greg Silverman, and requested that he remove director Zack Snyder from  Justice League . Silverman was “quite harsh on Zack”, but production was already too far along and they were about to start rolling. The decision to keep Snyder on  Justice League  ultimately came from Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara. DC Films President Jon Berg was sent to London to oversee the movie’s production.

Doomsday Clock #1 Review

Almost 30 years before the attempt to fix the bad idea that was the New52, DC Comics was in the midst of a different rebirth when  Watchmen  #1 was first published; only a few months after  Crisis on Infinite Earths had  realigned and attempted to simplify DC continuity. While showing itself to be a glorious portrayal of a new and updated DC Comics,  Watchmen  was a standalone story taking place outside of the main DC Universe and had no connection to its mainstream characters — or so was the case at the time.

Justice League Review

I mean, what in the actual fuck? They started this in the garbage fire that was BvS, too, with Clark telling Lois that he was out being a hero because it’s what his dad wanted for him. Sorry, buddy, I watched that film, it was expressly what your dad didn’t want you to do. He told you over and over again to keep your head down and just let shit happen around you. I still can’t figure out how it was everyone but Bruce Wayne, Lex, some random Wayne Enterprises middle-manager, and the junior Senator from Kentucky, loved Superman enough to build a gigantic statue and give him a pass on everything (everything we see the massively tragic human side of in the film’s opening).

The Shadow/ Batman #2 review

If you were disappointed that last month’s debut barely featured the Shadow, you will be relieved to know that he’s fully immersed into this issue. Our three heroes (Batman, Robin, and The Shadow) are far from embracing each other though, each of them irritated with the other two for various reasons. Unfortunately, our characters need to come to terms with a few things before they can move forward in their mission, so there’s quite a lot of bickering. Subsequently, the character moments also mean that there’s not much in the way of plot progression, but it should build to a more satisfying climax and conclusion a couple of months from now.
