DEADPOOL 2 Poster - Creation of Adam Parody

Ryan Reynolds tweeted a new promotional poster for “DEADPOOL 2” early yesterday morning, depicting Deadpool and Cable in the place of man and god in a parody of the famous “Creation of Adam” painting. Promotion for “DEADPOOL 2” has certainly been taking on a theme, as most of what we have seen so far has been references to classical art (the Thanksgiving poster) and painting in general (the hilarious Bob Ross parody). Ryan Reynolds even had a recent announcement for Deadpool tattoos at a Brazilian comic convention. Does this art theme have any hint toward what the new “DEADPOOL 2” movie is all about? Perhaps I’m missing something and I really need to catch up on some Deadpool comics. If you look on the bottom right of the poster, we see the words “The Second Coming”. This has to have some kind of double meaning referring to something in the movie that hasn’t been revealed yet. I’m pretty excited to see Cable, played by Josh Brolin, in Deadpool. They had plenty of opportuniti

First Look at Hawk & Dove from DC Superhero Series ‘Titans’

A couple weeks ago, we got our  first look at  Brenton Thwaites  as Robin  in DC’s upcoming superhero series  Titans  from  Arrow  and  The Flash  co-creator  Greg Berlanti  alongside  Akiva Goldsman ,  Geoff Johns , and  Sarah Schechter . Today, we’ve got the first image of superhero duo Hawk/Hank Hall ( Alan Ritchson ) and Dove/Dawn Granger ( Minka Kelly ). Like the Robin costume, these outfits were designed by  Laura Jean Shannon , whose credits include  Black Lightning ,  Iron Man  and  The Jungle Book . And the costumes look…fine? The hard thing to judge with superhero costumes, is that it’s hard to see how they move, but going solely by this still, I appreciate that Shannon is trying to find the bridge between something realistic and something that is definitely in line with the comic books, which is a challenge when you consider that Hawk & Dove have a couple of the more colorful outfits out there. For those who are unfamiliar with the characters, they were originall

Eminem's 1st Choice For "Walk On Water" Feature Wasn't Beyoncé

Eminem’s first choice for  Revival ‘s lead single  “Walk On Water”  wasn’t Beyoncé. According to Shady’s longtime producer and member of D12 Denaun Porter, the Detroit rap goliath initially wanted British pop phenom Adele to sing the hook. In an interview with ThisIs50, Porter explained “something happened with her and her voice so she couldn’t do it.” He also added, “There’s only a couple people that could pull that off,” when speaking about Mrs. Shawn Carter. Revival  was released on Friday (December 15) to  tepid reviews.  The 19-track project, which features several pop stars like Ed Sheeran and P!nk, serves as Em’s follow-up to 2013’s  Marshall Mathers LP 2.  Much like the  reception for “Walk On Water,”  Revival  has garnered  mixed reactions  from fans. Check out Porter’s comments on the single starting around the 2:40 mark.

Eminem Revival review

So..just a brief intro since I think it is relevant...Eminem was my favorite artist, period. I had a pretty traumatic life, a lot of isolation and abuse, and Em's music was the only thing I felt I could relate to when I was a teen in the late 90's/early 2000s, I was blown away by the genius of it all. I had tickets to go see the Anger Management tour in 2005 at a castle in Dublin before he cancelled it. I think SSLP, MMLP are classics. Eminem show was good but a step down. Encore was great until he pettily replaced half the tracks last minute. After that though...relapse and recovery are utter, forgettable shit to me(fack? really?). MMLP2 was a really nice surprise! I don't think it held up quite as well, and Bad Guy while interesting is no stan. Then this album came and well...I just feel it is forgettable as well. Em isn't great at being political, and while I appreciate the effort, I think it falls short. The songs with guest stars are almost all forgettable, e

It's time for a comic book accurate Batman

So far, we have yet to receive an accurate live-action representation of Bruce Wayne. Without fail, every single incarnation to date, from Keaton to Batfleck, has killed without regard for life, has not been a detective, and have had some wack costumes, at least until Batfleck. So, in this article we have a break down of what was missing with each live action incarnation (limited to feature films from Keaton onwards), and what we hope Matt Reeves will get right. Keaton - Batman/Batman Returns Boo. Wears Levis. Kills. Not a detective. Sleeps upside down. Clooney Credit card. No white eyes. Nipples. Roller skates. Kilmer Have to rewatch. Bale Not a detective. Kills. Not a scientist. Affleck Kills the most. What we need

Amazingly,  Justice League  will be released on Digital HD in Korea on December 19th. This is generally what happens with shitty movie, they get rushed to home release ASAP. A Korean retailer that is selling the movie currently has it available for pre-order right now, and they provided a free 3 minute preview of the movie’s opening in 1080p HD. Check it out here

How the DCEU can still be saved AND beat the competition

Warner Brothers attempt at a cinematic shared universe, bringing classic DC characters to screen has been plagued with problems from the start. This was largely due to Zack Snyder's 'vision' for these characters being, at best, polarizing. Man of Steel was not a good way to start a new cinematic universe. The Superman shown in that movie was not a Superman anyone who was a fan of the character would recognize. It wasn't realistic, it wasn't justified by the world being a darker place(indeed, that is justification to have a more inspiring hero)...at best it was an elseworlds take on the character, and it wasn't one that people liked. The other problem of course, is that Man of Steel seemingly took place in a realistic universe with no hint of other fantastic people, or magic, or advanced science etc. Now all of this has been shoehorned in, and well, the results speak for themselves. When Superman was wandering the earth in Man of Steel, why the hell wouldn

David lynch shows Senorita Dido how to kiss and release Laura Palmer's golden orb

Indiewire  today released a short clip from Impressions: A Journey Behind the Scenes of Twin Peaks, part of the hours of  bonus material  on the forthcoming  DVD and Blu-ray release of the 2017 series . In the video, David Lynch can be seen directing the monumental scene in Part 8 where Señorita Dido kisses a golden orb containing Laura Palmer’s iconic homecoming queen portrait (!) before sending it off to Earth (where it lands particularly close to Odessa, TX). Inside downtown L.A.’s Tower Theater, the filming location for the Fireman’s home by the sea, David Lynch tells actress Joy Nash to close her eyes and kiss the golden orb: “Give it so much love. And then you smile… and let it out. It’ll go right up to the center and then it’ll go through, and you’ll see a tube go to the movie and then it’ll enter the film.” You’ll notice the sound towards the end of  Indiewire ‘s clip is muted. Hopefully, we’ll be able to hear what they’re talking about on December 5 when  Twin Peaks:
